Post-Publication Award Barbara Jefferis Award Valued at $50,000, the Barbara Jefferis Award is offered biennially for the best novel written by an Australian author that depicts women and girls in a positive way. Learn more
Pre-publication Award Blake-Beckett Trust Scholarship Offered annually, the $50k Scholarship provides an Australian author with valuable time to work on a current manuscript, with $35,000 awarded to the winner and $15,000 awarded to second place. Learn more
Pre-publication Award Ray Koppe Young Writers Residency Each year, the Australian Society of Authors awards a two-week residential fellowship at Varuna to a writer under the age of 35 who is as yet unpublished. Learn more
