Maithree Wijesekara is the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Prince Without Sorrow, published in 2025. Her second book in the trilogy, The Witch Without Memory, was published in 2026. Maithree rekindled a love of creative writing in 2020, whilst stuck in Covid lockdowns and studying to become a dentist, and by 2023 a bidding war between five publishers led to Maithree signing a deal for her debut fantasy trilogy with Harper Voyager UK. This is a dream outcome for any debut fantasy author – so how exactly did Maithree get here, and how has her author career progressed since?

Maithree will discuss:
If you’re a fantasy author contemplating how you want to approach publication of your work, or you want to know what you could expect from the process, don’t miss this opportunity to learn directly from Maithree’s incredible experience.
