For authors working with personal stories, particularly stories involving trauma, the question of how to balance the personal with the public is one which will inevitably be at the forefront of their writing process. Navigating the challenges that arise from writing about the personal, including managing post publication publicity, can be particularly fraught. Dr Olivia Ong is an author, practising physician, and professional speaker who has experienced this firsthand following the 2026 release of her memoir, Back on My Feet. Join Olivia for this one-hour session, in which she’ll guide you through:
Olivia’s experience and approach will resonate with anyone working on a personal story, no matter if you’re an aspiring writer, looking forward to the publication of your work, or have already established a writing career.
There will be time for questions from the audience.
