Fantasy fiction, with its fast-paced action and adventure in magical worlds, will always be a mainstay in children’s publishing and remain immensely popular with young readers. It can also be a whole lot of fun for authors to write! But fantasy writing, and writing for children, require more than an author’s expansive imagination. Both demand the author develop unique technical skills, and a solid foundational understanding of your market and your audience, in order to deliver a rewarding reading experience.
Join Jeremy Lachlan, author of the four-book series the Jane Doe Chronicles, to learn how you can craft compelling fantasy fiction for young readers. In this practical and insightful one-hour session, Jeremy will share:
Whether you’re just getting started or already deep in the process of crafting your own children’s fantasy novel, or you’re now staring down the submission process and want to know what you can expect, Jeremy’s experience, guidance, and enthusiasm will inspire you to approach your work in new ways and propel your project forward.
There will be time for questions from the audience.
