Membership renewal FAQs

Have questions about renewing your ASA membership? Read on to find answers to the most commonly asked questions about membership renewal.

ASA memberships are annual and are set to renew at the beginning of each financial year. Membership for 2026–27 is due to renew on 1 July 2026. If you have your membership set to renew and you have a saved payment method on file, no action is required from you and payment will be processed on 1 July.

If you wish to turn on/off renewal, simply log in to the ASA website and visit your Member Dashboard. Select the membership details tab located below your name. Here you can switch membership renewal on/off, as well as update any of your contact information.

Ensure you are logged in to the ASA website and visit your Member Dashboard. Select the ‘Open Stripe’ button below your name, which will take you to the ASA payment portal. There you can add or update your payment method, and view and download your past invoices.

You can also access the ASA payment portal via a link located at the bottom of your Membership Details page.

If you choose to turn off renewal for your membership, or do not have valid payment details linked to your membership, your membership will lapse on 1 July 2026 and you will no longer have access to membership benefits.

You will be able to reactivate your membership if it lapses by logging into the website on or after 2 July 2026, where you will be prompted to reactivate your membership.

The annual fee for Associate membership for 2026-27 is $180.  Discounted rates are available for FNAWN and SCBWI members, as well as concession card holders. This membership is suitable for creators who are not yet published.

From there, all you need to do is tick ‘Yes’ in response to the question ‘Would you like your Find a Creator listing to be visible?’ and complete the information fields below.
